Author: Tsinghua Unisplendour Group, a major manufacturer of information technology (IT) products in China, elbowed into the desktop PC business, despite the declining profits and fierce competition in the sector. "We expect our desktop PC business to make a profit next year," said Ji Hao, manager of Tsinghua Unisplendour's desktop PC business department. The company aims to sell 200,000 desktop PCs and take in revenues of 1 billion yuan (US$120 million) from its desktop PC business next year.
