PUTRAJAYA, Nov 14 (Bernama) -- Customs Director-General Tan Sri Abdul Halil Mutalib said today the department had uncovered the identity of insiders said to be helping a syndicate in smuggling luxury cars out of the country through Port Klang.

He said disciplinary action would be taken against Customs officers involved, including expelling them from the service.

"If there is any evidence to show of a deliberate attempt from them (to help the syndicate) or of any corrupt practices, we will take disciplinary action, even expelling them from the service," he told reporters after the breaking of the fast …
