It's time for a Sox change

The time is right for the Red Sox--unsuccessful in their first attempt to purge Manny Ramirez--to trade a superstar widely believed to be dissatisfied in Boston. His name? Nomar Garciaparra.

Garciaparra, 30, is one of five key Boston players who will become free agents after next season, and it will be virtually impossible for the team to keep them all. General manager Theo Epstein already is exploring alternatives, as evidenced by last week's attempt to dump Ramirez.
