Section: Business News - Rising local and offshore interest rates notwithstanding, the bond market looks to enjoy steady growth this year, with plentiful demand from investors and funding needs from issuers, the Bangkok Post reports.

Brad Levitt, head for Asian fixed income for Standard Chartered Bank, said the bond market was expected to recover from 2004's slowdown as institutional investors increase their weightings in the money market.

Activity in the local market partly represented adjustments by fund managers to match durations with rising interest rate trends.
