The 800 employees of the Israel National Employment Service closed all the service's branches at 11 am today. The employees convened this afternoon at the Histadrut Building in Tel Aviv to decide on their next measures.

Representatives of the workers committee said the strike was to protest the shortage of personnel at the Employment Service, failure to honor agreements, and expected changes in their workload, following the implementation of the Wisconsin program (also known as welfare-to-work) in August.
