NEW DELHI: Emerging clean from almost two decades of corruption charges, the German submarine manufacturer HDW (Howaldtswerke-Deutsche Werft GmbH) has renewed its bid at bagging Indian Navy's proposal to buy submarines worth over $4 billion.

This could upset the force's strategy by delaying the crucial acquisition of the French Scorpene subs, for which negotiations have been completed, navy sources say.
