Author: ww China Southern Power Grid will invest 30.5 billion yuan (US$4.64 billion) this year to build more power transmission lines, according to a statement posted on the website of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission (SASAC). The statement said the total length of the new transmission lines will be 4,264 km. Southern Power Grid, one of the country's two State-owned grid firms, operates electricity transmission facilities in Guangdong, Guangxi, Yunnan, Guizhou and Hainan provinces.
