Bangko Sentral awards data warehousing to Spain-based information.

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recently awarded the first phase of its data warehousing project to Soluziona, a major Spain-based information technology management and consulting firm.

The data warehouse will be the main repository of financial and nonfinancial data collected from the banks.

Soluziona won the contract on an international public bidding that initially included seven prequalified bidders.

Incoming BSP Governor Armando M. Tetangco, Jr. said the project will "revolutionize the banking sector and will have far reaching impact."
