PVA's 2005 Midwinter Board of Directors (BOD) meeting took place in sunny San Diego, the city where I started my duties as a PVA national director. The West Virginia PVA chapter received its charter at the 1992 convention there.
Talk about being nervous! First I waited to see if the BOD would approve the resolution to grant chapter status; if they did, I would be the chapter's national director. I had attended Board meetings and conventions in the past, but never as a national director.
