Text of report by Ivorian radio on 14 March
President Gbagbo received South African Defence Minister Mosiuoa Lekota at his Cocody residence today. Their discussions lasted two hours. After the meeting, Mr Lekota, who was accompanied by the deputy South African foreign minister, made no statement to the press. There is no doubt that the discussions between the head of state and the South African defence minister centred on the peace process in Cote d'Ivoire. The two South African ministers will be going to Bouake, the stronghold of the rebellion, tomorrow to meet the leaders of the New Forces rebels.
