Ameriquest Is Opening New Servicing Center.
Schaumburg, IL -- Ameriquest Mortgage Co. and its wholesale affiliate, Argent Mortgage, have expanded and upgraded their affiliated loan servicing center here with the opening of a new center in an 11-story office tower just north of Chicago.
To commemorate the opening, executives and employees of the new site were joined by a host of local officials welcoming them to the community.
Argent already employs more than 1,000 associates in Schaumburg. The companies said the expansion will ultimately create 2,100 new jobs over the next three years.
The new servicing facility is operational, with 90 associates hired to date. Adam Bass, senior vice president at Ameriquest, said in an e-mail that the new facility will have "more redundancy and dedicated hardware so that regional outages won't affect our ability to support our customers." Ameriquest is not changing the way it services loans, however.
The new building features a large data center and state-of-the-art technology, he said. The facility also houses a full-service cafeteria and a health center for associates. Mr. Bass said the ...
