Thai Finance Ministry orders state enterprises to remit more profits with government.

Section: Business News - The Finance Ministry has given instructions to state enterprises, including TOT Corp and CAT Telecom and electricity utilities, to increase their profit remittances made to the central government, the Bangkok Post reports.

Suparut Kawatkul, the finance permanent secretary, said the ministry, as the major shareholder of state enterprises, had the authority to ask for higher remittances to the state.
