NEW YORK & OXFORD, England--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 22, 2005--Business Wire, the global leader in financial news distribution, and UK-based DecisionSoft Limited, the world's premier XBRL components vendor, have created CoreFiling Limited to provide XBRL consulting services, data validation and enhanced data management, it was announced jointly today by Cathy Baron Tamraz, president of Business Wire and Philip Allen, chairman of DecisionSoft.
"CoreFiling Limited will work with filers, regulators, exchanges and the financial community, to provide expertise in XBRL," said Allen. "The XBRL standard can be applied to a wide range of business and financial data, including internal and external financial reporting, and to all types of regulators."

The CEO of CoreFiling will be John Turner. He will be joined on the Board of CoreFiling by Philip Allen, Steve Messick (Business Wire's chief information officer), Michael Becker (manager of global disclosure and financial reporting services for Business Wire), and Peter Day (CEO of DecisionSoft).
Turner has joined the company from KPMG LLP where he ran their XBRL global services team, focused on the way that digital business reporting enhances transparency and understanding for financial markets and regulators alike. Prior to his recruitment by KPMG, Turner led the reform of data collection and analysis for two national financial regulators in Australia. A member of the XBRL International Steering Committee, Turner is a leader in the field of electronic business reporting.
