SOUTHBOROUGH, Mass., March 1 /PRNewswire/ -- The New England Center For Children (NECC) of Southborough, MA has been chosen to receive the 2005 SABA Award for Enduring Programmatic Contributions in Behavior Analysis. NECC (http://www.necc.org/) will accept the prestigious award at the opening event of the 31st Annual Association for Behavior Analysis (ABA) Convention, Saturday, May 28, 2005 in Chicago.
ABA, an international organization with 4,000 members from more than 30 countries, is the academic and scientific association of experimental and behavioral psychology. Previous winners of this award include the Departments of Psychology at the Universities of Florida and West Virginia.
In selecting NECC, the Society for the Advancement of Behavior Analysis (SABA) commented on the schools importance as a resource for children with Autism, utilizing scientifically and behaviorally based practices in a "most exemplary fashion."
