Section: General News - The Fifth Asian Journalists' Forum, jointly organized by the Japan-based Sasakawa Peace Foundation (SPF) and MCOT Public Company Limited (MCOT), ended successfully here.
Mrs. Veerawan Vararuth, Assistant Director of Thai News Agency (TNA), who is a key moderator of the two-day regional workshop, said that participants appeared to benefit from their exchanged views and issues raised at the forum, held at the Radisson Hotel in Bangkok.
This year's forum, scheduled for 24-25 February, were attended by nearly 30 journalists from 16 Asian countries sitting down to exchange their views on the roles of media in news coverage, focused on democracy and human rights issues, the theme of the two-day forum, as well as other relevant topics.
