(From Thai Press Reports)
Section: Corporate News - Phuket Air plans to fly from Bangkok to Kathmandu, Amsterdam and Bali next month, with three services a week to each new destination, The Nation reports.
The move follows last year's expansion from Bangkok to London, Dubai and Rangoon.
The Nepal route is scheduled for its inaugural flight on March 9, while the Netherlands and Indonesia will get theirs on March 26 and March 28.
Vice president Chairat Meksukree said the airline aimed to capitalise on the shortage of overseas seats during the high season, especially from Europe.
A Boeing 757 will service Kathmandu and Bali, while a Boeing 747 will be used for Amsterdam.
The load factors are expected to be 80-90 per cent for Amsterdam, 80 per cent for Bali and 50-60 per cent for Kathmandu. The projections are in line with its other international routes.
