Vietnam Prime Minister Phan Van Khai on Thursday declared November 23 to be Vietnam Cultural Heritage Day, aiming to encouraging people to participate in preserving and promoting the country's cultural heritages.

Under the decision, the cultural heritage day must be organized each year efficiently to elicit the people's patriotism and national pride as well as their desire to be responsible for preserving and promoting cultural heritages.
