Cairo, 27 Feb: President Husni Mubarak of Egypt was handed a letter from President Bashar al-Asad on the latest developments in the region.

During a meeting Sunday [27 February], Foreign Minister Faruq al-Shar'a handed President Mubarak the message.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu-al-Ghayt and Syria's ambassador to Cairo Yusuf Ahmad attended the meeting.
