New Delhi, Feb 24 (PTI) In a change of strategy to eliminate polio virus from the country, the Indian Ministry of Health has decided to use a "tailormade" vaccine against the virus that was responsible for most of the new polio cases.

The vaccine - Monovalent Oral Polio Vaccine - was found very sucessful against Type 1 virus which led to change in strategy to administer the vaccine in western Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Mumbai's Thane district in next two rounds, sources in the Ministry said.
