Lawyers for six individuals with brain-cancer suits against mobile-phone firms rejected industry's argument that the claims are pre-empted by federal law, saying wireless firms "blatantly misrepresented the safety of their products in order to dupe consumers'' into buying products that have led to "life-threatening illnesses, rendering them disabled for the rest of their lives.''
