Comcast, the largest US cable company, increased its revenue from high-speed Internet services 36% to $855 million. It added more than 437,000 subscribers last quarter to almost seven million broadband users.

Comcast and the other cable companies have been able to hold the line on their monthly rates, unlike the phone companies, which have been dropping their broadband fees.
