The overall rating outlook for the UK life-insurance industry remains negative, says Moody's Investors Service in its new 'Industry Outlook' on the sector.
However, the rating agency views the industry as currently standing at a crossroads, following a period of unprecedented upheaval, with the combined impact of the various changing influences likely to differ very significantly from one market participant to another. Moody's thus expects the performance of UK life insurers to display an unusually diverse range in the near term.
