In Baghdad, three U.S.troops were killed and eight others wereinjured Monday when a roadside bomb detonatednear a helicopter carrying a militarymedicalcrew, according to U.S. military officials.

Themedical team was reportedly attacked as it responded to a vehicle accident in southwestern Baghdad in which one soldier was wounded, the military said in a statement.

Inseparate incidents Monday, a U.S. Marine and an Iraqi civilianwere killed in Al-Anbar province,the Multi-National Forces in Iraq said Tuesday.
