Newspaper article from: The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel DAMIEN JAQUES; - Damien Jacques The Milwaukee Repertory Theater will restructure its Powerhouse Theater season slightly, starting in September, to give itself more time to prepare productions. Consequently, opening nights for Powerhouse shows will move from Sunday to Friday. The change will mean fewer preview and regular performances for each show, but it will give the Rep an extra week between productions. Under the current schedule, the actors have only two days of rehearsal on a set before the first preview performance. That time will more than double next season. Rep managing director Dan Fallon said the extra time will also enable the company to add more sophisticated sound and lighting elements to its productions. "It is our hope that we can accomplish more, artistically, with this," he said. "We felt we needed it in order to grow artistically." February 11, 1996 700+ words
