We subscribe to very few magazines, but COUNTRYSIDE is necessary reading for us and we love it.
We are seniors, ages 66 and 67 who dramatically downsized our lifestyles 22 years ago. We left a five-bedroom home (provided for us when my husband was a pastor), and purchased a 700 square foot home in a small town in North Dakota (population now 16). We parted with beautiful furniture, a grand piano, dishes, clothing, etc. and happily report the freeing experience has left us contented and healthy. We burn wood for heat and welcome the gathering of wood as a healthy experience.
We've done a few workshops on living simply, and have composed a list that we distribute at our workshops. We're happy to share these with you.
We have been married nearly 44 years and we are grateful to God for each day of simple living which we enjoy together.
