MELBOURNE, Sydney, London, Paris or even Cape Town? What will it be for you this time around when you shop for attractive Golden Holiday Escapades (international destination) packages at the Malaysia Airlines Travel Fair 2005? If you are thinking of going regional, then there's Bali, Surabaya, Siem Reap, Yangon, Bangkok, Phuket and even Brunei.
Those who are interested in the Orient, there are four packages to Kunming, three to Chengdu in China and many more to Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong and also China.
The airlines' assistant general manager marketing support Raja Nordiana Zainal said some 90 packages to more than 100 destinations are up for grabs this year including to the airlines' four new destinations Kunming, Chengdu, Ahmedabad and Kolkata in India.
"Trends have changed over the last one year, as more and more people are travelling to newer and safer destinations such as Australia, Buenos Aires, Siam Reap, Bangkok and also Singapore among others.
"Though Europe and England have become a little expensive with the high exchange rates, visitors to the fair are still keen to visit London and Paris," says Raja Nordiana.
The Umrah packages `Lambaian Ka'abah' were a big success last year with the latecomers to the fair, going home disapppointed when all the packages to the Holy Land were snapped up early.
