BEIJING, Oct 2 Asia Pulse - China imported 95.80 million tons of crude oil in the first eight months of this year, an increase of 15.3 per cent over the same period of last year, according to statistics released by the Economic Operation Bureau of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) on September 29.
According to NDRC, China's production of energy achieved a steady growth in the period. Output of crude oil was 122.93 million tons in January-August, rising 1.8 per cent year on year; and output of oil products was 199.15 million tons, up 5.7 per cent, of which the output of petrol and diesel went up 3.8 per cent and 5.7 per cent respectively.
