BANGKOK (XFN-ASIA) - Thailand's new, military-appointed prime minister said he is not sure if he deserves the job, but had to "take the responsibility" after receiving a mandate from the king.

Asked why he deserved to be prime minister rather than ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra, General Surayud Chulanont said: "I don't know."
