Trencin, West Slovakia, Sept 30 (CTK) - Monika Benova will not seek the post of deputy chairwoman of the governing Smer (Direction)-Social Democracy (Smer-SD), the party of which she was one of the founding members, as the name of the former party deputy chairwoman does not feature among the six candidates approved by the party leadership last night for the party national congress on Saturday. The party leader, Prime Minister Robert Fico, told journalists that he highly esteemed Benova's work in the European Parliament she has rendered for her party.
