Beginning in October, the University of Texas will house the third university-based nanoelectronic research center in the nation. The center will try to develop a new method of producing electronics.
The research will begin in October and is expected to last three years, said Matthew Gilbert, a post-doctoral fellow at the Southwest Academy of Nanoelectronics. Research will be conducted through the academy, where experts from universities such as Notre Dame, Rice and Texas A&M are expected to participate.
