ISLAMABAD, September 28 (PPI) Pakistan has modestly improved its Global Competitiveness Ranking. According to the Global Competitiveness Report 2006, released by the World Economic Forum, Pakistan has showed solid improvement from last year's 94th to 91st place this year. One hundred and twenty-five countries partipated in this year's survey as compared to 117 last years. Briefing newsmen in Islamabad on Thursday Minister of State for Finance Omer Ayub Khan said Pakistan's gains take on added significance when compared to the drop in rankings experienced by many noteworthy emerging markets. The rankings dropped by 9 for Russia and Brazil, by 6 for China, by 2 for Thailand…
