BANK DANAMON TARGETS 10-PCT SHARE IN BANCASSURANCE PROGRAM
JAKARTA - Publicly-listed Bank Danamon Indonesia (JSX:BDNM) targets a market share of 10 per cent in a bancassurance project, Bank Danamon Vice Pesident Director Jerry Ng said here Thursday.
"We expect to gain a 10-percent market share in the years to come," Ng said during the launch of Danamon's `"Kadoku" program which was organized jointly with PT Asuransi Allianz Life insurance company.
NEW BANK TO OPEN IN KABUL
KABUL - The Central Bank of Afghanistan (Bank-i-Markaza-i-Afghanistan) has issued a working licence to another private bank to open its branch in Kabul.
Brac Bank of Afghanistan has become the 14th private bank to become operative in Afghanistan. Officials said the bank is going to start operations in the country with an initial investment of US$5 million.
