Is the Juicy life just a party? No, there is work to
be done in the Juicy world. A recent task of founders Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor was to plan a party, a huge party intended to launch the new Juicy fragrance, Juicy Couture. Now take a deep breath: Smell that fruitiness? Smell that note that says the person wearing it is obsessed by all things French and pretty? Smell the party, which is an up-all-night, dressed-to-the-nines, making-a-racket-in-the-next-room type of party?
Pam and Gela want the party to be the party-a debutante party that considers the Juicy fragrance to be about 20 and stepping out for the first time. A world must be conjured-a world inspired by "the mischievous debutante" who stumbles at dawn from the Bal Crillon and, chopping her couture gown to a "mini-crini," clatters over to Laduree with "a gang of spangled and feathered dancers from the Lido to eat pale-pink, rose-scented macaroons and sip apple tea."
