NEW DELHI, Feb 10 Asia Pulse - The World Trade Organisation (WTO) has proposed that sugar and other sensitive products, covered by tariff rate quotas or benefitting from trade preferences, may have to undergo significant tariff reductions in the Doha Round.

According to a paper by the chairman of WTO agriculture committee, Tim Groser, members would not be able to protect these products from significant tariff reductions by designating them as sensitive products.
