Hailed by critics for her remarkable technique, tonal beauty and musicianship, Angela Cheng has appeared as soloist with nearly every orchestra in Canada, as well as the Israel Philharmonic, Buffalo Philharmonic and the symphonies of Colorado, Syracuse, St. Louis, Indianapolis, New Orleans, Houston and Utah.
Cheng has won numerous prizes including the 1986 Gold Medal at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Masters Competition and the prestigious Montreal International Piano Competition (1988). For her outstanding interpretations of Mozart, she received the Medal of Excellence at the Mozarteum in Salzburg in 1991.
Cheng received a bachelor of music degree from The Juilliard School and a master of music degree from Indiana University.
