President Bashar al-Asad received Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmad Abu-al-Ghayt at the People's Palace this morning. The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Faruq al-Shar'a and Egyptian Ambassador to Damascus Hazim Khayrat.

Abu-al-Ghayt delivered to President Al-Asad a message from Egyptian President Muhammad Husni Mubarak on the efforts that are being made to end the suffering of the Palestinian people in the occupied territories and the steps that would help consolidate Palestinian national unity and strengthen the Palestinian position in the peace …
