By Tom Hay STARBECK Baths is gearing up to attract more swimmers after being handed its three-year lifeline.

Snorkelling, lifesaving and parent-and-child sessions are among the classes being offered by the pool to boost customer numbers.

The facility has been granted GBP80,000 for essential repairs by Harrogate Council, which should enable it to stay open for three more years to allow the set- up of community trust funding. The council's decision will be finalised next Wednesday.
