Tokyo, Feb. 4 (Jiji Press)--Japan and the United States will clarify their joint action to deal with North Korea's military threat in a document that will specify common strategic objectives for military operations of the two allies, government officials.

Tokyo and Washington will further work out details of the strategic objectives--the basic guidelines for realignment of the U.S. forces in Japan--such as how the Japanese and U.S. forces share their roles and how they respond to crisis in the Asia-Pacific region, including the Taiwan Strait, they said.

The two countries are expected to announce a document on their agreement at bilateral security talks to take place in Washington as early as Feb. 19. The so-called "two-plus-two" meeting will bring together …
