Turkey's premier on Wednesday strongly denied allegations by Iraqi President Jalal Talabani that Turkey has meddled in neighboring Iraq's internal affairs, asking him to correct his "ugly remarks."

Talabani warned Iraq's neighbors while speaking at a news conference in Washington on Tuesday that interference would not be tolerated.

"Iraq is not so weak our neighbors can do anything and we will remain silent," Talabani said during a speech at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars.

Talabani declined to specify which neighboring countries he was referring to but…
