The vast majority of Americans think their unions are strong. About three quarters say they are satisfied with their sex lives. Marriage still appears to be the ideal, with three quarters calling it the most enjoyable arrangement. While a majority says that premarital sex is O.K., only a small fraction believe it is acceptable for teenagers. Thirty-seven percent of men and 50 percent of women say they were too young when they first had intercourse.
