The Dubai-based pair of Jitu Solani and R. Vasudevan are outclassing the opposition in the 11th Sharjah Bridge Festival.

The pairing made confident strides throughout the day before securing top spot in their section with an overall two sessions combined score of 64 per cent.

Their performance was one of the highlights of the second day of the Open Pairs event at the Sofitel Hotel in Deira.

The top 20 pairs all surged forward. The experienced team of Gier Helgemo and Helmess did well with superb defence and precise bidding to finish second with 63.95 per cent.
