Ahmedabad, Jan 8 (PTI) At a time when their population was declining alarmingly, as many as 108 vultures belonging to five species were spotted by an environmental group at a dumping site in Bhavnagar district of western Indian state of Gujarat.

In all 108 vultures were spotted during a survey done on January 5 at Chaparaiyali carcass dumping site, Gir Nature Youth Club president Amit B Jethava told PTI Saturday.

Among the five species two are local while three are migratory, he said.
