DOHA, Jan 9 (Bernama) -- The Doha Asian Games Organising Committee (DAGOC) has vowed to provide the best media coverage for Qatar's maiden hosting of Asia's biggest multi-sport event here come December 2006.

Its a grandiose plan for one of the smallest countries in West Asia -- only 11,437 sq km of mostly desert land and a population of some 750,000.

However, with almost unlimited funds at its disposal and the full backing of Qatar's ruler Emir Sheikh Hamad Khalifa Al Thani, the challenge is one which DAGOC happily accepts, said its Media and Broadcasting Services …
