As a woman in the aerospace engineering field, I find myself in a very male dominated environment. When I graduated from Purdue University IN with a BS degree this past May 2006, my class had very few women. Since there are virtually no aerospace jobs available in my home state of Indiana, I have had to go elsewhere for internship experiences. (I've already interned in Texas and Pennsylvania during college.)

Having to move for a job was something new to my baby-boomer parents. After getting their degrees, both were able to find jobs near where they grew up. Mom has a BA in communications and a JD (Magna cum Laude) and is now a juvenile magistrate in Elkhart ...
