A federal judged ruled that Slippery Rock University PA must reinstate two women's sports it had cut because the school already is not complying with Title IX.
The school announced last winter that it was cutting eight sports to save $350,000. Among the eight were women's field hockey, water polo and swimming. The school later decided to keep field hockey, while members of the women's swimming and water polo teams filed a lawsuit to challenge the decision to cut their teams.
