CHARLOTTE AMALIE, U.S. Virgin Islands (AFX) - The governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands will give a public service award to a U.S. senator from Idaho who supports reducing the residency requirement on the islands -- a key factor for businesses hoping to gain tax breaks by operating there.

Sen. Mike Crapo, a Republican member of the Senate Finance Committee, will receive the award at the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday. U.S. Rep. Charles Rangel, a New York Democrat known for his work on civil rights and black issues, will also receive the award.
