Sep. 19--NEW BRUNSWICK -- A Cabinet-level committee will meet in Trenton in two weeks to start developing a new energy master plan for New Jersey.

The Oct. 3 kickoff meeting for the heads of nine departments and agencies was announced Monday by Jeanne Fox, president of the Board of Public Utilities, at the agency's annual Clean Energy Conference in New Brunswick.

By law, the energy plan is supposed to be updated every three years, but the last revision took place in 1995, Fox said. The process, pushed by Governor Corzine, is expected to take 12 to 18 months.
