In 1995 part of the roof of the Grand Palais collapsed, and since then the Paris Biennale des Antiquaires has been held in the Carrousel du Louvre, a subterranean space with low ceilings. The repair work on the Grand Palais has now been completed, and from September 15 to 24, this year's Biennale returns to its original home. There will be 111 exhibitors, of whom about a quarter are newcomers.
In London the 20/21 British Art Fair celebrates its nineteenth season from September 13 to 17. It is held at the Royal College of Art and is sponsored by the insurance firm Stuart Alexander.
Also in London, at Colnaghi, there is an exhibition devoted to the landscape painter Edward Seago, on view from September 27 to October 6. Although it is primarily a selling show, a number of works are on loan from the Swire Collection. ...
