LOCKHEED Martin is enjoying a turn in the commercial maritime security spotlight thanks to new business strides made by Savi Networks, its new joint venture with Hutchison Port Holdings, writes Rajesh Joshi in New York.

Savi Networks used the Maritime Security conference, held in New York this week, to reveal its newest conquest European logistics leader Unipart's decision to track US-bound Jaguar car parts using SaviTrak, the Radio Frequency Identification-based or RFID service.
