THE Ovia North East local government (Edo State) chapter of the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) yesterday expelled Chief Gabriel Igbinedion, father of the state governor, as a fresh wave of crisis gripped the party. He was accused of violating the constitution of the party by inciting disaffection among members in the area. Chief Igbinedion's son, and chairman of Ovia North East local government, Mr. Charles Igbinedion was sent on suspension. His alleged offence was allowing the Esama of Benin to incite him against party leaders.
